Assistant Principals

I am truly honored to continue my journey in D2 at Sand Creek International School! I was born and raised in Illinois where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University. My educational journey began by teaching Kindergarten and first grade for seven years before moving to Colorado where I joined the D2 family at Wildflower Elementary. While at WES, I taught third grade for six years before moving into the building instructional coach position for two years. I have also taught with fourth, fifth, and sixth graders during summer school, as well as grades K-5 as a 2019 Summer School Coordinator. Through being a mentor teacher and collaborating with other district staff while serving on committees, I discovered my passion for leadership. In the spring of 2019, I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. In the 2021-2022 school year, I became a panther cub at Stratton Meadows Elementary where I began my leadership role as the Assistant Principal for two years. Additionally, I have served as the Track & Field coach for the Sierra High School athletics team since 2015.

Outside of work I enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with my husband and our French Bulldog, Queenie, who keep us busy and fully entertained! I am looking forward to continuing this great adventure at SCIS staying dedicated to continued growth and building lasting relationships!

The 2025/26 school year will be my 17th year working in Harrison School District 2 and my 14th year working in K-8 schools, both as a teacher and an administrator. I believe that the K-8 model is best for families, students, and teachers alike. Much of my free time is spent enjoying outdoor activities with my family and Golden Retriever, Seamus.
